WhatsApp API Pricing in Bangladesh (2026)

WhatsApp Business API pricing in Bangladesh - official 2026 rates per conversation and platform costs

WhatsApp Business API pricing in Bangladesh is simpler than most people expect — but only if you understand the two parts of the bill: Meta’s per-conversation fees and your platform’s subscription. This guide breaks down the official 2026 rates in USD and Taka, what changed recently, and what you will actually pay.

How WhatsApp API pricing works

Meta does not charge a setup fee. You pay per conversation — a 24-hour window of messages between your business and a customer. Each conversation falls into one of four categories: marketing, utility, authentication, or service. The rate depends on the category and the customer’s country.

Official Bangladesh rates (2026)

Category USD per conversation Approx. in Taka (৳120 = $1)
Marketing $0.0732 ≈ ৳8.80
Utility $0.0113 ≈ ৳1.36
Authentication $0.0113 ≈ ৳1.36
Service Free (first 1,000/month) Free

Rates are per 24-hour conversation, not per message — so a marketing conversation that sends three messages still costs one marketing conversation. The first 1,000 service conversations per month are free, which covers most customer support traffic.

What changed in 2026

Meta updates rates twice a year. In the April 2026 update, Bangladesh was not among the markets that changed — India, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia saw increases, and Turkey saw a cut. Bangladesh’s marketing rate stayed at $0.0732, with lower utility and authentication rates than many regional neighbours. Meta has also introduced an authentication-international rate structure for Bangladesh, Iraq, Nepal and Sri Lanka — worth knowing if you send OTPs to customers abroad.

Platform pricing compared

Platform Starting price Pays in Taka?
Whatsping Free 30 days, then $20/mo ✅ bKash, BDT billing
WhatsFly $20 Starter / $40 Advanced, 20% off annual ($16/$32) ❌ USD only
AiSensy (India) $45/mo (per vendor pricing) ❌ USD
Respond.io $79/mo ❌ USD only
WATI On request (not published) ❌ USD

Prices from each platform’s public pricing pages as of August 2026. WhatsFly’s Starter and Advanced prices are published on their WhatsApp API provider Bangladesh page. Nexwap and WATI do not publish plan prices publicly.

This is where most buyers get stuck: international platforms price in USD and require an international card. A Bangladesh business ends up paying conversion fees and fighting currency risk. Paying in Taka with bKash removes that friction completely.

What a real monthly bill looks like

Say you run an e-commerce store sending 10,000 marketing conversations a month and answering 3,000 service chats:

  • Marketing: 10,000 × $0.0732 = $732 (≈ ৳87,800)
  • Service: first 1,000 free, then 2,000 × $0 (service is free under the free-tier allowance in most plans) — check your plan details
  • Platform: $20 Standard plan

Total: roughly $752/month (≈ ৳90,240) for a business sending ten thousand marketing conversations. A utility-heavy business — order updates, delivery notifications — pays far less, because utility conversations cost a sixth of marketing.

Hidden costs to watch for

  • Provider markup — some platforms add 20–25% on top of Meta’s rates. Ask for zero-markup or at least transparent pricing.
  • Contact-based pricing — some tools bill per monthly active contact and surprise you with overage charges when your list grows.
  • Currency conversion — USD billing on an international card adds fees. BDT billing avoids this.
  • Grey-market “unlimited” tools — they look free, but the ban risk and lost customers cost far more than the official API ever will.

Can I pay in Taka?

Yes — with Whatsping. Plans start free for 30 days, then Standard at $20/month, and you can pay in Taka with bKash, no international card required. It is still rare among WhatsApp API platforms, and it is one of the reasons local businesses switch.

Bottom line

WhatsApp API pricing in Bangladesh is predictable: Meta’s per-conversation rates are published and stable, and your only real decision is the platform. Pick one with transparent pricing, BDT billing and the official API, and WhatsApp becomes one of the cheapest marketing channels you run. Start free and see your first bill before you commit.
